TCN Status

When you complete your Live Scan or fingerprint submission, you are issued a unique Transaction Control Number (TCN). This number is essentially your tracking/confirmation number for that background check submission. 

The TCN lets you see where your background check is in the processing workflow(e.g., submitted, processing, complete) — typically by checking it on the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) portal or through SheScan’s interface.  

• Submitted/Received: Your fingerprints have been submitted successfully.

• Processing: FDLE and possibly the FBI are reviewing your fingerprints.

• Complete: The check has finished and results have been sent to the requesting agency.

• Transaction Not Found: The TCN was entered incorrectly or the submission hasn’t been processed yet.  

You may check the status of your fingerprint submission using your TCN number through FDLE’s official status portal.
